Installing Pluggo

Note: If you already have Pluggo installed, you can skip this page.

In order to run Lowender, you will first need to install the plug-in framework known as Pluggo. (For an explanation of why we use Pluggo as our release format, please see our FAQ.) There are two flavors of free Pluggo installers: Pluggo Junior and Pluggo Runtime. The only difference between them is that the Junior installs some free plug-ins as well as the framework, while the Runtime installs only the framework itself.

We strongly encourage installing Pluggo Junior, if for no other reason than the included plug-ins can aid in troubleshooting. However, if you don't want to add any extra plug-ins to your setup, you may install the Pluggo Runtime. From here on in the documentation, we will refer to your choice of Pluggo Runtime or Pluggo Junior as simply "Pluggo".

Which Pluggo Version Do I Use?

There are currently two release versions of Pluggo, version 3.6 and version 3.5.*

While we have tested Lowender with all major DAWs, please try the demo of Lowender before purchase. Note that Cubase 4 currently does not work with Pluggo.
